Of course none of it is as easy as that. As Greg Thompson so wisely said in his interview with us - the top engineers are at the top for a reason. Just occasionally, though, you might come close if you’re lucky.

You can only learn so much from lists and rules (which are made to be broken, by the way).

You can only become really good with time and experience, as a friend of mine used to say. If you’ve dropped yourself in at the deep-end, however, then some of those sites will give you a good headstart.

One last thing - for those of you who think that you’re too advanced to go back to the start for a refresher course - you’re not. Don’t kid yourself.
