Audiotechnews couldn’t decide whether to blog or not to blog about this. Making an executive decision before breakfast, I’ve decided it is relevant.
This is an online alternative to email attachments; geared towards large files - audio files for instance. It saves clogging up inboxes, or even outboxes.
Interoute, the owner of a European next-generation voice and data network, have a new free service that allows users to send large files without the hassle of creating clogged inboxes for email recipitents.
The solution operated by sending and storing files via Interoute’s online distribustion platform; the files can then be downloaded when the recipitent chooses.
Matthew Finnie, Interoute CTO says: “Where its PowerPoint presentations, jpegs, spreadsheets or other large files, individuals are sending increasingly large amounts of content across corporate networks. This can result in people being inable to send emails because their inbox is full and can slow the network down; but with Interoute Express, you can send large files with piece of mind”
You can see the full press release as an attachment on Interoute if you’re down with it.
And it’s an alternative to that other one thats already out there called yousendit. Oh well, the more servers, the better, right…?
