Canada’s sound recording and music publishing industries maintained profitability for the second consecutive year in 2006 according to Exchange Magazine.
Statscan - Operating revenues exceeded operating expenditures for each of the three major segments of Canada’s music industry (record production, music publishing and sound recording studios), but music publishing was the only industry able to achieve true revenue growth in 2006.
