What makes the A.M.T Max Warm process unique is the approach used for its dynamic signal analysis. Internally, the A.M.T Max Warm uses a special processing algorithm to accurately maximize the incoming signal level while limiting the ceiling peak levels. This approach tends to produce a more natural warm-sound, the A.M.T Max Warm also includes a two-band equalizer (Shelving/Peaking) with adjustable frequencies, making this plug-in an amazing advanced and versatile tool.
* High quality signal processing algorithms
* Peak Limiting and Loudness Maximizing with Baxandall Equalizer (Shelving/Peaking).
* Look-ahead Brickwall limiting
* Low and High Shelving controls - Boost / Cut up to 12dB
* Low Frequency variable from 60 Hz to 800 Hz (Shelving/Peaking)
* High Frequency variable from 1.2 Khz to 16 Khz (Shelving/Peaking)

Music Producer, John Keane, is teaching three separate workshops this year, the focus being Pro-Tools.
The four day courses will be based on Keane’s book, “The Musician’s Guide to Pro Tools,” which is levelled at novices in digital audio workshops (DAW).
The dates are:
March 17-26
August 18-27
November 3-12
At the University of Georgia (Caldwell Hall), where the Terry College of Business houses the Music Business Program’s lab
An additional class is to be held in Atlanta at the Terry Executive Education Center from September 23rd - October 3rd.
Registration costs $700, which includes instruction and the use of Apple iMacs equipped with Mbox and Oxygen8 MIDI controllers and Pro Tools software, although it will only cost $100 for those who provide their own supplies.
So, if you already know how to use it, for $100, it’s worth going along to make the acquaintence.

Yamaha Corp has capitalized on the craft and standard of some of the world best instrument technicians, in order to bring attention to its latest technology.
A service centre in Buena Park, California, is home to an advanced instrument customization technique, which involves cryogenically freezing instruments, and then using fibre optic endoscopes to analyze the inside of woodwind and brass instruments.
The point of this? Well, if successful, could have major implications for the trade, as the services will include overhauling instruments, and designing new ones. If successful, it will surely only be a matter of time until more instruments are incorporated.
More from the LA Times:
Alterations can be as slight as shaving a component by 50-millionths of an inch or as dramatic as plunging a French horn into liquid nitrogen, freezing it at 300 degrees below zero to enhance its sound.
“We [musicians] are always trying new things, searching for the perfect mouthpiece or the perfect instrument,” said Bergeron, a Grammy-nominated studio artist who plays lead trumpet for the musical “Wicked” at the Pantages Theatre.

I’m still relatively new to blogging. I’ve done some blogs on Myspace and suchlike for my band, Vitriol I.D. I only started this blog - my first proper, daily blog - Audio Tech News, two months ago.
So how have I now got a #2 position in Google searches for multiple keywords and phrases? Some might say I’m stupid to share the information, although there is plenty of it out there, free, and on the internet - from people with far more experience and relevance than me.
It’s been beneficial getting help and experience from Greenbang - my brother’s blog.
Most of you have probably followed Courtney Tuttle’s blog; you probably even changed to his brilliant Keyword Sniper theme. I did.
So lets look at some of these key phrases that I’ve been getting hits from.
Not the ACTUAL key phrases, obviously, or I might see some unwelcome competition. Step number one - don’t share all of your secrets. I’m sure Courtney doesn’t.
I can honestly say the biggest part of this success so far has been content-keyword driven.
More to come later this week.

Panasonic recently sent me a couple of DVD in car entertainment systems to review, which I thought was very kind of them. When I was first sent the press release, I thought they looked pretty cool, so I was glad of the chance to review them, although once I found out they wanted them back, the thought of all the re-wiring I was going to have to do in my car didn’t please me, particularly.
Having said that, the installation is fairly easy, and as long as you have some basic knowledge of wiring and electronics, and you can follow a simple step by step guide, you should be ok.
I would advise my Mother not to attempt it though.
Moving on; here’s how I got on with these 7” widescreen LCD Touch Screen in car whatsonanno players.
Panasonic CQ-VD5505N and the Panasonic CQ-VD5005N
Panasonic promise that the 5005N and the 5505N deliver ‘clear, high-resolution images so you can listen to music, watch DVD’s, all in the comfort of your car. Check that, Captain, although I don’t think my girlfriend was too keen on driving me around while I watched Indiana Jones.
Now, first up, this is a really cool and clever device. I have a feeling though, that were someone not used to touch screen menus and options, and the way they have to work, that they would find all this a bit confusing. I don’t really see the practicality of driving your kids down the motorway whilst trying to read an instruction manual, operate an entire entertainment system, AND keep safety first.
However, this review isn’t for families, it’s for people who get stuck on tour buses for weeks on end, so it’s absolutely brilliant.
The models both have built-in 2-channel downmix Dolby Digital decoder which helps deliver theatre-like surround sound in your vehicle, high powered 45W x 4 amplifiers deliver the power you need to drive your music. Whatever your musical preference, the benefits are apparent in an excellent high-range signal-to-noise ratio, reflecting minimal treble noise.
The acclaimed Alphatuner V FM/AM tuner circuitry is built into the audio systems, and there are 18 FM and 6 AM presets. Features such as Automatic disc loading, Scan, Search, Repeat and Random all ensure that maximum ease of use is achieved and minimum programming.
LCD display panels conveniently flip-down and offer dual VTR inputs (RCA) for simple connection of a gaming consoles, camcorder or whatever other video source might please your rear-seat passengers. It also has a “Motorized Display Faces” for ease of use and an manual dimmer so every film can be adjusted to suit the individuals viewing preference. The touch panel display makes it very easy to operate. The wide-aspect LCD screen with 336,960 pixels and internal backlight offers a selection of display modes (NORMAL, FULL, ZOOM and JUST).
All in all these are a lot of fun, and a must-have for anyone who’s on the road a lot…
Now I have to uninstall them and put my normal CD player back in. And send them back.
All of a sudden, I’m going off Panasonic.

Blastwave FX has released a new 18 GB hi-def sound effects library called Revolver, which apparently is an all in one collection of 1000 Hi-Def 5.1 surround sound imaging elements, compositions, drones, and trailers packed into 6 DVDs.
The library is being touted as extra-ordinary because everything was originally recorded at 24 bit 96k, then delivered as 24 bit 48k broadcast .wav files.
Each file also comes as an additional mp3 for quick referencing.
Revolver is a Click N’ Drag library. That means that the entire collection can be clicked and dragged onto any hard drive and is conveniently cataloged with embedded metadata for easy search and retrieval in Pro Tools, AVID, SoundMiner, NetMix, iTunes and other popular sound library search engines.
Revolver was created by producers and sound designers from the acclaimed Detroit Chop Shop, headed up by Ric Viers, one of the largest independent producers of sound effects in the world.
Revolver will be released on January 15, 2008, and will be available here for an introductory price of $999.
